Who we are

This site and the result emails are run by One Less Drink ("we"). Our postal address is at the bottom of every email we send. You can reach us at hello@onelessdrink.com. One Less Drink is for adults 21 and over.

What we collect

• Your quiz answers and quiz result, including how many drinks you have in a typical week if you choose to answer. The answers are kept in our analytics under a random ID. They are not stored with your email address and are never sent to Meta or any advertiser. The same random ID is kept with your email address, so the two can be linked, for example to find and delete your data when you ask.
• Your email address, if you give it to us.
• Whether you used the button in the result email. The link behind that button carries the same random ID and your quiz result, never your email address, so we can show the right page and tell that the same visitor came back.
• Anything you type into the feedback box.
• Basic usage data: which screens you viewed, the ad or link that brought you here, and your country.
• Your IP address and browser details, which our hosting, our analytics and the Meta Pixel receive when the page loads.
• A random ID saved in your browser, so your answers stay together if you come back. It does not contain your name or email address.

Why

To show you your result, to email you your quiz result, to email you once we know whether One Less Drink gets built (with 50% off your first payment if it does and you picked a subscription), and to understand whether people want this product.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. Cloudflare (hosting and storage), PostHog (analytics), Resend (email delivery: it sends your result email and our internal notifications, so it receives your email address, your quiz result, your random ID, the subscription you picked and your country) and Google (the fonts on this site and in the result email, which your browser or mail app fetches from Google, and the inbox where we receive a short notice with your email address, drinking style, the subscription you picked, the ad that brought you here and your country) process data on our behalf.

We also use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads. Meta receives your IP address and browser details, sets its own cookie, and learns which steps you reached here (opened the page, started or finished the quiz, left an email, saw prices, tapped a price). Meta never receives your quiz answers, your result or your email address. Meta uses this data under its own policy, including for its own advertising, and may collect information about your activity over time and across websites. You can opt out of interest-based ads at aboutads.info/choices.

We also review funnel counts and lead records (quiz result, the subscription picked, country, ad source and any note you leave; never your email address) in a Google Sheets spreadsheet. We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

Not medical advice

One Less Drink helps people who want to drink less. The quiz is not a medical test, and nothing here is medical advice. If you drink heavily every day, stopping suddenly can be dangerous: talk to a doctor before you cut down. SAMHSA, a US government agency, runs a confidential helpline, open 24/7: 1-800-662-4357.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address and lead record for up to 12 months after your last visit, and delete them sooner if you ask.

Your choices

Every email tells you how to unsubscribe. To see or delete your data, write to hello@onelessdrink.com and we will handle it within 30 days.

If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date.
